Position Summary
The Media Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire media planning cycle from client briefing to implementation. The ideal candidate must be able to manage day-to-day planning and analysis while maintaining strong relationships with publishers and partner agencies.
Your job will be to lead day to day media campaigns, coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure campaigns go live as per plan.
To succeed in this role, you should be a skilled communicator and decision-maker who can collaborate well with various teams. Knowledge of market research and a willingness to follow media trends are essential.
Primary Duties
- Responsible for planning, negotiating and executing media plans with the support of Media and Investment leads
- Be the ‘go to’ contact for clients and internal stakeholders. A bit like an ‘orchestrator’.
- Define best channel mix translating business objectives into Media KPIs
- Put together media recommendations under supervisor guidance
- Present media plans
- Maintain stewardship of reports including competitive analysis to assess media schedules of competitors, interpret data and draw conclusions
- Ensure budget control for media plan
- Meet with vendors to keep up-to-date with latest media trends and opportunities across our portfolio of clients
- Supervising the implementation of media campaigns (Traditional, Digital, Social, Influencers etc.)
- Work with Digital team to integrate Digital objectives and strategies into overall client media plan
- Work with the Buying team, providing buying specifications, monitor development and review media buys and post-buy analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in advertising, marketing or business
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a media planner or in a similar role
- Agency experience with passion for Digital preferred
- Broad knowledge of media channels
- Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media planning tools (e.g., GA, Nielsen, Roy Morgan)
